Palestinians threaten to renew UN push for recognition
Continuing his defiant refusal to enter peace talks with Israel, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas—the man who provided the funding for the PLO Black September attack that killed eleven members of the Israeli Olympic team in Munich in 1972—is now threatening to renew the push for unilateral United Nations recognition of Palestinian statehood.
Abbas sent a letter to Prime Minister Netanyahu last weekend restating his demand that Israel agree to all of his conditions before talks can even begin. Sadly, most of the world continues to view Israel as the obstacle to peace rather than as the victim of continuing terrorist attacks. But we can assure the Jewish people that we still stand with them. There is no doubt in my mind that God has worked to make the Jerusalem World Center in the Holy City a reality “for such a time as this”…and I urgently need your help today.
