Y8 Paris / Disneyland

Enquiries to Mr Whatford

Open To

The Paris residential is open to students in Y8. 59 places are available and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Please note that this residential is always extremely popular; so do apply in good time to increase your chance of getting a place.

Itinerary

Join us for a week in Paris from Monday 19th May– Friday 23rd May 2014.

You will have an opportunity to speak French in real settings (order food and drink, buy souvenirs, ask for directions etc), learn something of the culture of France as you visit famous landmarks such as The Eiffel Tower and Place du Tertre and cruise along the Seine at nightfall. After all that hard work you’ll need time to wind down, so test your nerves of steel at Disneyland Paris and Universal Studios.

Travel and Accommodation

With Travel Bound, part of the First Choice Group, who have many years experience organising school travel. We will travel by Coach and Eurotunnel. We will stay in the Hotel Kyriad at Disneyland, Paris, where all rooms are en-suite. We will have breakfast at the hotel and have evening meals either at the hotel or in restaurants in Paris and Disneyland. Students will need to buy their lunch on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Cost and other important information

The cost of the trip will be £455 (this price is based on 59 students), to include travel, insurance, accommodation, breakfast and evening meal and all entry fees. Students will need their own full passport (this can be applied for through your local Post office) and EHIC Card. Students who are not eligible to hold a British passport must seek advice from Mr Whatford before signing up for this trip.

Further information will be made available to students opting to join this trip. Please note that there will be times (i.e. in the theme parks) when students will be given opportunities to go round in friendship groups (no less than 4 students), unsupervised by a member of staff. A member of staff will always be ‘on call’ at an emergency meeting point during these times. Students will also be given a mobile phone number to ring in an emergency.

How to apply for a place

Return the slip below to Reception with a non-refundable deposit of £55 between 8.00- 8.40am on Friday 20th September. Please note further instalments will be payable monthly between now and March. Please remember PCS cannot authorise both residential and term time family holidays in the same 12 months. This residential will count as 5 of the 6 school days a student is permitted to miss for off-site education.
