are always found false prophets who try to obscure the truth. And as the human spirit evolves and ascends, will it he more receptive to higher truths and for revelations? In later days people from the West went to the East — to China, India and Tibet. They had heard of people, living in Tibet, who were completely pure spirits, who would be called "Saints" in the Occident. They heard of many people, who thought it wise, to live similar to those Saints — that there are reincarnations of former Dalai Lamas, Abbots, yellow or red cap monks, that there are qualified people who can foretell the lives of man by astrology, even to the previous lives of reincarnated people — and that there are many priests of the highest order, gifted with mediumship, able to disclose by (lie aura of men their state of evolution or state of health and have the gift to develop this mediumship in a scientific manner. There are people who have been permitted to enter mystic Tibet and to study there, but their number is limited. Those who returned and have not penetrated to the Unknown have written books about what they think they know, what they have been shown by monks without initiation. What is written by most of these writers — a few excluded — is only a supposition of the Truth. Those who really achieved to reach the Unknown have remained and worked to become monks. Some have later returned to the West, with the typical Eastern mystical smile on their lips and with a Tibetan seal of initiation closed to the West. As in the building profession we find Builders and Demolishers, so we find also builders and destroyers in the matter of Truth. Builders are idealists. An idealist bears love in his heart — without love is no idealism, without idealism nothing is built up that is noble and beautiful and is art. Art is idealism, advanced to formation of ecstasy. Ecstasy is the highest form of spiritual love and brings the human spirit closest to the truth of the Divine Light. People who destroy beautiful and ingenious things are materialists in the true sense of the word. Those who work with material things as a servant of science are not materialists but work for the benefit of mankind and to serve the plans of progress and wellbeing. But people who delight in destroying the beauty of nature for their own relaxation are materialists — also those who illegally and dishonestly partake of other peoples belongings are materialists. Materialists do not know what love means. They only seek possessions, luxuries and pleasures. Possessions mean selfishness — luxury means pride and haughtiness — pleasure means self-complacency — a complete materialistic collection of vices. Do not seek the truth in a primitive spirit, who is perhaps in his first incarnation on earth as a human being. He is too primitive to understand and to experience truth. You may send him to High School and to University — he will only learn the exterior, without the spirit or feeling. The holy fire of enthusiasm is not yet kindled in him and he is unable to convert or transform anything because his permittivity does not permit him to believe with heart and soul and to accept what he is taught. If his learning is thrown overboard, he will, for material profit, soon change his artificial wisdom and proclaim a false theory. Herein lies the proof of his permittivity and he will have to live through many reincarnations, until he has gained enough spiritually to. enable him to distinguish between truth and false, to spread the truth with conviction and persuasion and also to distinguish between things spiritual or material. False prophets are of low evolution. The true Prophets stand close to God and return to earth as human beings in order to help further and understand the truth and to show incarnated spirits the path to purification, of cleansing, of ascending and of the Bliss of Life in the cosmos. There are even today false prophets who spread wrong theories in words and books. The hearer is fires to choose by his own conscience which he accepts or declines as truth. But many may decline a truth in good faith because they are not yet sufficiently developed spiritually. Truth is a shining Light. A reincarnated being, not sufficiently evolved is blinded by this light. A spirit with sufficient evolution is able to live in the Light of Truth without being blinded. He understands and accepts the truth. The judges of Athens could not endure the Light of Truth which Socrates preached — they condemned him to death and forced on him the drink of hemlock. The Jews of Palestine could not endure the Light of Truth given them by Jesus — they crucified him. The spiritualists and mediums of the Middle-Ages who professed the continuance of the spirit after the death of the body were burned alive — as Joan of Arc. But the Light of Truth shines on earth, in spite of all those sacrifices. It is disseminated through the teaching of the Spiritualists and shall not die — these Teachings are a Revelation of a Plan of God that will bring Love and Peace to mankind and establish the Kingdom of God on earth.
When someone first begins to study True Spiritualism he is astonished about the Mata which are discussed in spiritual meetings: belief, idealism, ecstasy, love, materialization, phenomena of nature, life on other planets, thunder and lightning, earthquakes, the function of bodily organs, morale. Divine Laws, life in the cosmos, body, soul and spirit, karma, the reason for suffering on earth, missions which reincarnated spirits come to fulfil on earth, and so forth. The uninitiated person wonders because he expects spiritualism the means of making contact between human beings and
discarnated spirits and to give manifestations of spiritual phenomena. The uninitiated person considers spiritualism just as an exhibition, a display, an amusement or as relaxation. Spiritualism has a far higher significance. It means searching for truth and this demands extensive study. Some attend spiritual séances where discarnated spirits give — through the mouth of mediums — messages, also by tapings, alphabets etc. The results of such séances depend upon the standard of evolution and purification of those present. They must believe in the Lord God and in life in the cosmos — otherwise they are negative spirits who hinder the contact with the discarnated spirits. They are unable, being materialists and spirits with low instincts, to regulate their radiation to any higher level than to discarnated spirits of their own level and inclination. They can only receive messages according to their own spiritual development. Spirits of high evolution, who stand closer to God, have short radiation waves, they are quite incapable of adjusting themselves to those of lower levels to give messages and teachings. These High Spirits are of the Christspirit, Socrates, Confucius, Gautama Buddha, Sri Krishna, Mohammed, Joan of Arc, Allan Kardec and some reincarnated spirits here on earth. The practice of this type of Spiritualism is called Spiritism. People, who actually study spiritualism, read books about these subjects, attend lectures, try to adjust their life to the Divine Laws. They contemplate — as did the philosophers in Athens, some six to four centuries B.C. — the Divine Laws, the elements of nature, sciences, life in the cosmos, the part of reincarnated spirits here on earth, the laws of Karma, the meaning of human suffering, the raising of the human spirit, the bliss of perfect spiritual evolution, philosophy, the revelations of the prophets and Leaders of High Creeds. They realise, as a result of these studies, that periodically in each age God sends His Messengers to proclaim the same Truth. Do good and live a good life, avoid evil, submit to the laws of Karma, realise why suffering is necessary, love one another and live in peace. God is your Spiritual Father, prepare yourselves for the Day of Judgement. This is the sum of God's Divine Laws. All revelations, given by prophets and Leaders of High Creeds are enlightenments of previous teachings. These explanations were given centuries ago and include repeated philosophical and ethical teachings. Those who value such studies and study philosophy and ethics encourage them to try to purify and evolve, therefore in the best sense of the word are Spiritualists. Is there any difference between spiritists and Spiritualists? The former, gifted to talk to discarnated spirits and to listen to their messages and teachings, are "Spiritists." The latter reap the fruits of their studies and of the work of the spiritists: they are "Spiritualists". The work of the Spiritists is hard and include: many difficulties and many obstacles. They need courage, confidence, patience, caution, perseverance, love, faith and Trust in God. Many dared these hard trials, but only few successfully passed the tests which Spiritism demands. Many were among the called ones who lack love, perseverance, trust in God — many seem to think that curiosity is sufficient to succeed. But many other factors are necessary. The most important factor is: to believe in the continuance of life after death of the mortal body, to believe in the spiritual world, be prepared to sacrifice in the Service of the Lord and to acknowledge Him as the Father of the human spirit — to believe and trust in the protection of the Holy Spirit, whatever might happen in human life — to accept the Son of God as part of the Divine Tri-Unity and acknowledge Him to be the responsible Leader of the human spirit. Further, that He has the register of every human being — that spirits are unable to contact spirits above their own evolution, but that a life of virtue and purification might possibly bring contact with Higher Spirits. Many expect from Spiritism nothing else but manifestations and their request at the first séance is: "Give me physical proof that a spirit is present and I shall be convinced". But they do not realise that every type of manifestation requires a similar type of medium; nor do they realise that the spirits put the votary of Spiritism to severe tests and that they hardly ever yield directly to the demands of a spiritists. Physical manifestations usually occur unasked for and unexpected. Concerning spiritists and Spiritualists — they eventually reach the same goal: "Knowledge of the Truth". The spiritists received the truth directly, disseminates the truth and he, who receives the truth — even if he be not a spiritist — is a spiritualist, as are all theosophists. Both carry the knowledge of the Truth to the spiritual life in the cosmos. The bearers of the Truth, who live and evolve accordingly, gain a place in the spiritworld. Those, who accept the truth, but do not live accordingly, have gained nothing. They have not evolved and, owing to their lack of evolution, have not risen to the spiritworld. Knowledge of morale, science and philosophy have no value for spiritual evolution as long as the human being is impassive to love and morality. The spirit is brought to Higher Spheres and closer to the Light of God by exercising love and morality, even without knowledge of Divine Truth. Thus, the spiritualist — through spirituality — purified his life on earth and enabled himself to ascend to the higher spheres.
Spirits, who have reincarnated in human bodies, have just one opinion about life on earth — that there are good people and bad people. It will be found, though, at a closer view, that between the good and the bad is an intermediary percentage who are changing from bad to good. There is a kind of ladder and people will reach either a lower or higher rung, according to their degree of goodness. People have a good or a bad radiation depending on their evolution. The human spirit is thus graded and its radiation shows its degree of evolution. A tank is graduated in gallons according to its capacity. Alcohol is graduated according to its percentage. A radio is graduated according to wave-length. Wireless telegraphy send messages in Morse code and these are received hundreds of miles distant. Words, music, pictures, Morse-code, etc., travel — inaudibly for human ears — through the air, to be intercepted at different places of the spheres, even of the earth. The cosmos is filled with invisible rays which move in diverse ways and cross in all directions — horizontal and vertical — and in all in between ways, each having its own special meaning and valuation. A sound or an alarm from any place on earth is audible up to a certain distance. A quick ear will hear sounds from afar — people, who are hard of hearing, hear only nearby sounds, whereas deaf people are not able to hear any sound. Sounds, pictures and forms can move, inaudibly and invisibly, on certain rays which vibrate around the earth. They repeatedly become audible and visible: instruments, such as transmitters and also spirit-rays, can be tuned to earth, in our solar-system and the cosmos, to register those broadcast words, pictures and sounds. Sounds are able to proceed on a certain ray — as is the case of broadcasting from the sender to the receiver-station — as also with wireless, telegraphy and television etc. Sounds, pictures and forms cling to certain rays and invisible wavelengths. A spirit, who tunes in to this wave, can hear and see what moves on this wave. Each ray has its wavelength. The wavelength is a vibration, short or sensitive, that no man-made instrument is able to measure. The rays which pass between human spirits are also immeasurable by any such instruments and the human spirit is none the less a sender—as well as a receiver station. If you think very hard of a friend, this friend will sense it and involuntarily think of you. The telepathic rays work thus and maintain their strength accordingly. Therefore two friends will be able, after some practice, to read one-another's thoughts if they fixed a definite time to think hard and concentrate on one another — these thoughts are transported by invisible rays. People can practice at a meeting — with a banknote, for in- stance. Some of those present can take the number of a note and memorize it, permanently and strongly. The others, who have not seen the note and do not know the cipher, have also to concentrate on it; they will register the number, through a mediating spirit by means of a telepathetic ray. Another test in telepathy is to test the capacity of receiving the contents of a sealed letter. The letter is put between the two hands — then wait until the contents of this letter slowly infiltrate your brain. Some people will, after sufficient practice, learn to see the person who wrote this letter and describe him and the contents of the letter. The following test is rather interesting. Take a portrait of a deceased person. Fasten your eyes on a place between his eyes. After some time pictures will develop, mostly on the forehead, which will give evidence about events concerning this spirit, which during life on earth reincarnated in the person on the photo. These pictures chiefly reveal some information about the life of this spirit on earth — his house, his wife, children and grandchildren, also animals, his work on earth etc. These pictures are the radiation of thoughts of this spirit who has passed over. If you accept that even a word has a strong radiation, you may be reminded of the words of the prophets. The long line of prophets who have lived on earth have proclaimed in parabolic form the deep esoteric contents of truth, the purpose thereof being to inspire people, to analyze carefully the deep meaning of those words and to look for the hidden truths. Prophets have proclaimed cosmic mysteries since ancient times, but only rarely have human beings accepted those revelations directly, they had to search for the truth. Moses told the people of his time, whom he had freed from the Egyptian yoke: "There is only One God and if you believe in Him you will enter the Kingdom of Eternal Bliss" — but they were steeped in idolatry and longed for a land of honey and milk. His people were unable to understand him, but his words have lasted on the cosmic rays of that time, and only in posterity have people understood and have confirmed his prophecies as truth. Zoroaster, too, was not directly understood by the people of his time when he indicated good and evil, right and duty, but the radiation of his teaching caught root in their offspring. Gautama Buddha came convinced of the necessity of earthly suffering, of the Laws of Karma, of doing penance by suffering for iniquities done in former or in this reincarnation on earth. Even his own father could not understand him — but, today, his teachings are sustained through spiritualism. Only few people were able to understand Jesus Christ when he taught peace and love, that love raises and ennobles the human spirit. Today, 2000 years since. His radiation is still felt all over the earth. Mohammed emphasized the Oneness of the Creator and destroyed the idols in Mecca, but the multitude cried and shouted. People of his time could not understand him, but his radiation is still perceptible and the Oneness of the Creator is understood and accepted. Parables were used from Moses to Mohammed and people on earth have started to search for the actual meaning of these parables. Spiritualism is the last phase for the proclamation of the Laws of the Lord. God's High Spirits come to you to explain the parables of the prophets. And there are still many people who say: "All this might be true, but I cannot believe and accept it." All is radiation and each radiation has its consequences People who practice radiesthesia, divining and soothsaying, or the divining rod, require a lock of hair, a piece of material from a dress, etc., to determine the character, the gifts and short-comings, habits, and state of health of a person. If somebody is sick, they advise the medicine which will heal — a hair lock or a piece of dress bear the radiation of its owner. This type of diagnosis is used in Europe, in America, in Asia and in Africa, by medical doctors and by healers for diagnosing sick organs, for general diagnosis and for healing; color-radiation is also often very helpful. This has nothing to do with sorcery, but with the power of the many invisible cosmic rays which the human spirit is able to use. The human being can become much more powerful if only he would train in the use and the practical application of these cosmic rays. This is easy if only the human being would believe in the spirit within and in the fact that everything which exists is harboring a spirit, a life-spark, a life-force, a life-atom — all of which are created by the One and Only Creator. Everything existing — however small or invisible it may be — bears within something of its Creator's radiation. This is an absolute truth for everything under, on and around the earth. The human spirit is the highest evolved subject of Creation — as far as human knowledge goes. He sees nothing higher than himself, save his Creator. He knows that he is still far from perfection and far from understanding himself. He realises slowly that he harbours forces, still dormant and undeveloped, which are attributes of his spirit. He steadily realises that he is a spirit, that he has had a past and will have a future. He slowly senses that he is able to develop mediumship, which will not only bring him into contact with his spiritual brothers in the cosmos, but also with unexpected revelations of his own spiritual powers. He observes supernatural manifestations of which he was often unaware — he co-operates, and these open many new horizons for him. He has experiences and sees phenomena which he did not previously notice, listens to the small, heavenly sensations and sounds in silence. He learns to listen for sounds in the deepest solitude, unknown previously. Solitude, meaning to be perfectly alone, does not exist because in his deepest seclusion and meditation he observes mysterious points of light which move and circulate, and which actually are spirits. He may receive telepathic messages and believe them to be his imagination because he is — seemingly — alone in his room, with windows closed and nobody able to enter and disturb him — but, notwithstanding, he feels: he is not alone — there is life around him, there are also thoughts, not his own thoughts, but inspired ones. A new life, a more spiritual life, begins for him now. He seeks seclusion, more and more often he withdraws from his surroundings, feels less interested in worldly possessions, worldly requests and material cravings. His life becomes more and more spiritual — he stands with only one foot on this earth, but with the other foot in the spiritual world. His spirit gains supremacy over his body — the time of awareness has come for him. He penetrates deeper and deeper into the supernormal and mystic life. Love and goodness are the fundaments of all his actions. He is happy in his circumstances because his knowledge of the truth has improved. Whatever he feels are spiritual vibrations and ultimately he realises that all round him are wave undulations and that he himself — as spirit, is a centre, which continually sends and receives. All this is perfect spiritualism. Spiritualism is not only to accept its philosophy, but is at the same time the experience, the living consciousness and the sending of pictures, forms and thoughts; it is contact with other spirits through mutual reciprocal vibrations. Awareness of spiritualism is accepting everything that is, that exists and that is alive and vibrating around the earth. Nothing whatsoever is dead matter, everything evolves, everything rises, develops and desires to find Divine Truth. Everything is filled with life-force. And everything is "The Aim and Result of the Creator".
You have already received information of cosmic rays issuing from the Creator, reaching not only this small earth, but penetrating the whole universe, those innumerable constellations with the manifold planets and satellites which move therein. Now follows an explanation of the strength, the power and the possibilities of these rays which are harbored in the primeval created elements — the grain of sand, the minerals and also in human beings. The terms: minerals, plants, animals and human beings denote the earthly and physical. Everything physical appertains to the plane where it belongs. But everything physical is controlled and directed by non-physical, super-normal, invisible, spiritual elements called spirits. Just as the human brain on earth invented motors and power-stations out of earthly material and each of these instruments arranged for low, medium and high power, so is everything, which exists and which belongs to the earth, controlled and directed by spiritual components which could be called spiritual motors and each of which have their own spiritual potency. The insignificant grain of sand, whirling in the air or lying on the ground, is also present in the soil, but here — influenced and urged on by the primitive life-principle — it connects with other homogeneous grains and under the influence of certain elements of nature, ore forms. The minerals, alive below the surface of the earth, grow, change and transform and demonstrate that the life-principle is working in them. Exploitation and industrial transformation, be it by human hands or mechanic, makes the life-principle withdraw to another more convenient place for its evolutionary process. This processed product of metal — silver, gold, platinum etc. — becomes dead matter, but remains an earthly product. The form which it is given gives the radiation of glass or metal (precious or non-precious), almost a kind of life-force. Then the radiation of the form is important, whether created by skill of an artist, scientist or a mechanic, as a treated or modulated component. This is something which the human being produced: the form. This form then is nearly a living-force, which sends radiations — because the thought, the desire of the creative force of the human being to produce — is a radiation which adheres to the product. A spiritual ray passed from the human mind to this article and now radiates through its form. Whosoever looks at this production is not influenced by the material, but by the form of this subject. This form may have a primitive, but just as well a sublime radiation — it might be noble or ignoble — it might be sublime or base. The nature of the radiation of this form is dependant upon the radiation of the person who created it. A person with profane instincts has a base radiation and this profanity shows in all his products, whereas a person, who thinks sublime thoughts, whose soul is full of love, radiates sublime thoughts and these are expressed in the form which he gives to a certain material. A sculptor, who is a mystic and whose conception of beauty is spiritual and mystical, will create in stone or marble that which expresses his spiritual and mystic feelings, but one who is an inferior type will accordingly create works of a more earthly beauty and, if he be lewd or sensual, his imagination will express these base instincts in his work. Everything which is created by a human spirit bears the mark of his personal evolution — the radiation of his own spirit. You can see proof of this in negro sculpture and in pictures in cave drawings. These disclose the expressions of primitive human spirits who are on their very first steps on the road of development. To them and to their group it was beauty expressed, but for the present generation these creations radiate a form of permittivity. This gives us the conviction that the designer and the creator were primitive human spirits. The life-force, which gives life to plants and animals, is more primitive than that of the human spirit, and in plants is a life-force more advanced than the life-spark, which evolves in minerals. Minerals have neither feeling nor awareness of life — they only have a life-spark. Plants do not realise either that they are living. Gather their leaves, blossoms and fruit, or cut in winter their twigs and thick branches — the life-force in them is not decreased. The plants adorn themselves every spring with new leaves, blossoms and fruits and each winter most plants shed their leaves. Some plants die completely, but then they leave seeds which germinate and to which the life-force of the dead plant is passed on, to grow in the young plant, to give it life and strength. Plants germinate and grow and provide food for animals and human beings and give us beauty to look at. The form of the plants, their colour and fragrance, the choiceness of the fruit. determine the degree of evolution in the plant-world and of the life-force in each plant. Here, too, the life-force evolves, advances from the most common and lowest types of weeds to the most beautiful and rare precious specimens. As with humanity: the weeds grow in profusion, and plants with the most beautiful flowers and most delicious fruit are the most rare. As long as the earth exists, there is always the battle against obstinate weeds — these weeds grow exuberantly and damage the rarest and most beautiful plants — and pertaining to humanity: here, too, the life of good people is made miserable, even impossible, by the base ones. he same happenings occur in the animal kingdom. The highly bred are pursued and killed by primitive wild creatures. The life-force, which is present in an animal, denotes the degree of advancement towards the human spirit which it has already developed. Feeling is awakened in the life-force of animals — they feel pain, they have a nervous system, whims and caprices and are friendly or ill-tempered. This means that the life-force of animals has not yet reached the spiritual stage, but that its evolution is higher than that of the plants. Plants remain static and partake of the food which the soil around them provides — whereas animals are able to roam around and find food for themselves. We find many primitive barbaric elements among them which do not respect the life of either animals or human beings. They do not reason nor think that they kill, not only for food, but often for the joy of killing. But there are also domestic animals, which rely for protection, food and shelter on human beings. Are not all these facts signs of evolution? Many animals reach different stages of animal evolution. All of them try — as far as animal life-force permits — to rise by experience and difficult life conditions to evolve in the animal world. They do this unawares. The human spirit harbours the highest developed life- force on earth. But the human spirit is able to reach a much higher evolution after his process of evolution on earth is completed. He has an opportunity to develop his evolution on other planets where his body is lighter and less material than on the earth plane. The reincarnated spirit there is more aware of its real condition. It realises that it has to purify. Life is now less difficult, struggle and suffering not so hard. The necessity to keep the body in good form is also less complicated. It has reached a semi fluidic state and has obtained more spiritual forces and less physical ones. Some people imagine that they are perfectly purified after a difficult life of struggle and suffering and are able to reach eternal bliss straight away. But a spirit, even a reincarnated human spirit, is not able to see further than the degree of knowledge and wisdom which its sphere of evolution allows. It only accepts truth as far as its state of advancement permits. The human being thus believes that after life on this earth the Gates of Heaven will be open to him. No person reaches, after only one incarnation. Eternal Bliss and Eternal Life. Jesus said: "You will often have to be reborn before you may enter the Kingdom of my Divine Father".
