Exhibition “Writers on the Great Patriotic War” (working title). Documents, photos, books, military posters, writers’ voices, reminiscences of writers, poets and reporters on the Great Patriotic War. A separate section of the exhibition will be dedicated to the biography and creative work of Konstantin Simonov

The exhibition “Memories of the Great War” will be represented by two sections:

- “The Writer and his Characters at War” (Hero of the Soviet Union Marinesko – Letters, Photos, Books);

- “The Siege of Leningrad and its Writers” (Vsevolod Vishnevsky, Olga Berggolz, Alexander Kron, Vsevolod Azarov and others). Play “Wide Flows the Sea” set in Besieged Leningrad (Photos, Programmes, etc.)

Special project “Dedicated to the 70th Anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War”.

14 permanent exhibits will be presented with annotations, including pictures of rooms (rooms without pictures, destroyed rooms) and photos of exhibits during the war (returning from evacuation, unpacking and unrolling the canvases, restoration), participation in exhibitions in Moscow and Novosibirsk. Also on display – posters for exhibitions organized by gallery staff, invitations, catalogues, orders, letters, documents detailing war-time activities at the Tretyakov Gallery, invitations to the opening of the Gallery on May 17, 1945

Special programmes have been prepared to celebrate the memory of warriors who died for their Motherland “To the Heroes of Battle...” and “Warriors on Earth and in Heaven”. Programmes will be carried out in cooperation with the Ratobortsy Agency for Historic Projects and include interactive costume tours, shows and master classes

Alley of Heroes Project, dedicated to the heroes of the Great Patriotic War. Sculptural portraits of heroes with the description of their heroic feats will be showcased both in the grounds of the Museum and in the adjacent square
