What the Flag Means to Me

When I see the American Flag, I think about where the 50 states are from. America is a country of freedom. I think that we are lucky that we live in America. In some other countries, they donÔt have the kind of freedom we citizens of the United States take for granted. And I also think that America is the most lawful country in the world.

When I see the 50 stars on the current flag, I think of the 50 states in America. America has 50 states and they all have freedom. When I see the stars, I think that 13 states are important to America because they are the first 13 states in America. That is what I think of when I see the 50 stars on the current flag.
When I see the red stripes on the flag, I think of all the soldiers that died for America. Also I think that they died for honor. The color red and it are the blood of the soldiers. The soldiers that died are very important to me because America would not be like this without them.
When I see the white stripes, I think of freedom and how America got freedom. I also think of what freedom gave to all Americans. I think freedom is important because in some other countries, there is no freedom. Freedom is all over America and that is what I think when I see the white stripes on the current flag.
The American flag is important to me. TodayÔs flag is most important because it is a sign of freedom. The first flag was important because soldiers used it in wars. Both flags are high up in the sky. America is a strong country with these flags.

What the Flag Means to me

What does the flag mean to me? I asked myself this question and I had a hard time answering it. I am a nine-year-old girl who seeÔs the flag every day, and pledges to it so I donÔt really think about what it means to me. Then when I asked myself this question, I realized that it means a lot to me.

The flag stands for the freedom that we have and take for granted. Many people risk their lives to come to this country for freedom. I learned that in many other countries kids donÔt have the same privileges because they have to work to help their families make money to buy food. Also, in some countries people are told where they have to work and how many children they can have. Many children my age must live with war going on around them every day.
I am thankful to live in a country where I am free to get a snack when every I want and play outside with whoever I want. I love this country and flag. So now the flag means a lot to me.

What the American Flag means to Me

The American flag means a lot to me. It means freedom, it means justice, and it means working together is the way to win. Every time I see or hear about the American flag, it reminds me of people doing things for peace and happiness. It means lots more that. To me it is justice, courage and harmony. It should mean, to all Americans to live together, under gods love.

If there came a choice about losing America, then I would rather die then to see America in destruction. It means everything to me.

What the American Flag Means to Me

What the flag means to me is freedom and justice. We wouldnÔt have 50 states if we wouldnÔt have won American revolution but we had brave soldiers that went into battle. The flags 13 white and red strips represent to me 13 colonies when the British ruled.

The flag means freedom.

The American Flag

The American Flag is very important to me. Our flag looks special to me in many ways. The flag makes me proud every time I see it. When I look at the flag, I also think of the heroes who found a way to make our world a better place.

This is how the flag looks and what it means to me. The red, white, and blue colors in the flag all mean something. All the stars mean the fifty states that made one country. The thirteen stripes mean the colonies.

I am very proud to be a United States Citizen. ThatÔs because every single human being in this country is treated very equally. We are all treated equally even though we have different skin color, and we donÔt look alike. WeÔre also some very united people. I am also very proud because there are more chances of having a better future.

Whenever I look at the flag, I always think of the people who risked their lives and made a difference. Susan B. Anthony made a difference by standing up for the women and making male and females have equal rights.

I also think of the people who fought in all the wars. They risked their own lives so ours would be better. Everybody that risked their lives and fought in the wars made a difference. I thank all of them for making a better future.

These are all the things that make the flag special to me. I hope you think itÔs special, too.

What the U.S.A. Flag Means to Me

When you say, ÒWhat the American Flag means to me,Ó what does our flag mean to you? Does it mean a lot to you? Or is it just a flag? If you ask me, I think that the flag is more than just a flag. To me, our flag represents the fifty states of America, which we know today. It also shows the thirteen original colonies. It shows that we are a part of the United States. It represents that we are an American citizen. The colors on our flag are red, white, and blue.

What do they mean? It means that our flag is more than just a flag. It is proof that we have our independence from Britain in the big battle. ItÔs almost like the flag is a part of us. We have to honor and respect our flag as much as we can. If we donÔt do those two things we will have dishonored, disrespected, and have broken a big part of us. We have to try our best to honor our flag. It stood there in our war against Britain after bombs and cannons had gone off.

If you want to know what the flag means, it means justice, liberty, trust and honor. Honor our flag! ItÔs the right thing to do!

What the American Flag Means to Me

The American Flag means a lot to me. When I look at this flag I think of wars, freedom, and the description of the flag

When I look at the American flag, I remember the people who fought in the Revolutionary War against England. There were soldiers who bravely risked their lives to fight for our country. There were people who worked hard to make planes, guns and to help with food. We even have holidays to represent these people who kept our flag up in the air. Each and everyone of those people are heroes in our hearts and we remember them by the American flag.

Our American Flag represents freedom for me and others. When I grow up, I will have the freedom to sit down and chose whatever job I want. Here there is freedom from slavery. Here we can vote. Here in the United States of America we have equal right. Every man or every woman has the right to vote. I know this by looking at the flag.

The flag itself has a lot of description and history on it. The 50 white stars that are on the flag represent the 50 states. There are 13 red and white stripes which represent the original 13 colonies. There are three colors on the American flag. Red for courage, blue for justice, and white for peace. Our flag is a very beautiful flag.

These reasons make me feel proud to be an American citizen.

What the Flag Means to Me

The flag means many things to me. It means our nation, because each of the 50 stars stands for one state, but it is when the stars are together that the flag represents our nation. The flag means indivisible because the United States canÔt be divided. The flag means liberty because we are free and have independence. The flag also means justice because justice is what we have. The flag has many meanings to me.
When I look at the flag I remember many things. I remember those who fought in the war and died to give us our independence. I wish I could thank the people who gave us our independence. They gave their lives because they were loyal to their country. I remember that the flag is there to show us that the United States of America is one. When I look at the flag I remember that the red means courage for the courage the men in the war had. The white reminds me of the purity that the United States holds. The blue reminds me of the loyalty the people have for the United States. The starts stand for each state in the U.S.A. The 13 stripes remind me of the first 13 colonies. The flag has three different names. They are ÒOld Glory,Ó ÒThe Stars and StripesÓand ÒStar Spangled Banner.Ó I will always remember the those three names when I look at the flag. I have many memories when looking at our flag.
The flag is often used in ceremonies. When someone who worked for the government dies, he/she is buried with the flag folded into a triangle. In parades people wave miniature flags. In wars that the U.S.A.Ôs men are in, they have flags to show that they are here to protect our country. The flag is very important in ceremonies and important occasions.
I will never forget the flagÔs meanings and what the flag stands for!

What the American Flag Means to Me

These are some things about what the flag means to me. Independence is what the flag means to me. We have our independence from the soldiers who fought in the war of independence. If it wasnÔt for the soldiers, we would not have any freedom. Our nation is free to do what we want to do because we have freedom. The flag represents everyoneÔs independence in the United States of America. We are all indivisible and will stay United. On the flag there are 13 stripes which represent the 13 colonies there used to be. The stars on the flag represent the 50 states in the United States. The star-spangled Banner is the national anthem of America. The star-spangled Banner shows that America has independence. On the flag the red stripes stand for courage that the soldierÔs had. The blue is for loyalty we give to our government or nation. Last of all the white stands for purity. I am really glad that I live in the United States because we have independence and the flag means a lot to me.

What the American Flag Means to Me

What the America Flag means to me. I really love the American Flag and what it means. We, the Americans, have fought many wars and have won them. I love America because of the fair and loyal people in it. I really do believe it is the best country ever to be looked upon. And when I think of all the people who have risked their own lives to fight for us it makes me proud to say I am an American citizen. I am so happy that God has chosen me to be in this great American Country. I am very happy that I live in America because it has fair laws, good schools, wonderful people, and people that really make things happen. I mean if these good people hadnÔt risked their own lives we might still be controlled by the British. I love this country and all of the things about it, even if sometimes something bad happens. What The Flag Means To Me

What does the flag mean to me? It means America, and how people risked their lives for their country not just to win a war. Many people died just to get that flag up, to protect the country.

Some people went into war just to win, others for their love of the country. Those were the ones that were honored after their death. People risked their lives to us future AmericanÔs, they cared for the country.

To me the flag is special because I wouldnÔt be in school or be free, but I am because the people who died to protect the country, to know that if they won their future Country would be wonderful. They didnÔt care for winning, they didnÔt care dying until they fought. The only the they cared about was winning for the future.

ThatÔs why the flag is so important to me and other people. People can really understand how soldiers died for the future, future people. For us.

What the American Flag Means to Me

The American Flag means freedom, independence, and America.. The American Flag also means a lot of other things but these are the three things I think of when I think of The American Flag.

The American Flag means freedom because of all the wars and slaves that were going on in the past 100 years. Something else that makes me think of freedom is that the slaves werenÔt free and that they needed freedom. Another thing is that the people who fought in the wars for the slaves gave them their freedom and they needed that freedom that they should of had. That is one thing that The American Flag means to me.

The American Flag means independence because of how many people have died. I also think of independence because I think of the people who fought in the war for independence. Another thing is that I think the people long ago didnÔt have independence. That is two things of what The American Flag means to me.

The American Flag means America because I think of our country and how itÔs nice and beautiful. I also think of America because we live in a great country like this. Another thing is that it makes me think of all the wars that America has been in. That is the third thing of what The American Flag means to me.

Freedom, independence, and America is what The American Flag means to me. It also means a lot to me. What does it mean to you?

What the American Flag Means to Me

This flag was made because itÔs about our justice and out liberty. Every year we celebrate the memory of the people who died for this country. Every morning each school starts the day by singing ÒThe Star Spangled BannerÓ, or reciting ÒThe Pledge of Allegiance.Ó We celebrate independence from England on the Fourth of July. We shall always be indivisible in what ever we do. ThatÔs what the American Flag means to me.
