Greek Awards 2014-2015
Organizations are eligible to compete for awards to be presented at the
Annual Greek Step Show, Greek Convocation, and Greek Night.
Organizations will be judged on the following:
Highest Grade Point Average:
Academic achievement awards will be given to the organization (per council) with the highest cumulative grade point for the spring and fall 2014 semesters, highest term/semester grade point for the spring 2014 semester and fall 2014 semester. The spring 2014 highest grade point average award will be announced at the fall Greek Convocation, and the fall 2014 highest grade point average award will be announced at the spring semester Greek Night basketball game. The high cumulative awards will be announced at the All Greek Step Show. The Office of Student Life will calculate grade points averages for the awards.
Campus involvement participation will be calculated based on the involvement form/rosters submitted from each chapter (for non-greek related activities). Each member of your organization who holds membership with other campus activities (non-Greek) will earn one point. Each member of your organization who holds executive positions with other campus activities (non-Greek) will earn an additional point. For example, Cindy, who is Greek, is also President of the Marketing Association = 2 points. Forms will be distributed on March 3 and all campus involvement forms are due by Monday, April 6, 2015 @ 4:30pm to the Student Life Office.
Organizations are responsible for reporting information evidencing service hours and monetary donations during the 2014-2015 academic year. Awards will be based on most community service hours and philanthropic contributions. Additionally, those donating significant hours and/or contributions will be recognized – so make sure you submit! Organizations must prove service hours and philanthropic contributions by submitting the Community Service Form on OrgSync. This form verifies the project/event and must have the project/event coordinator’s contact information (not a member of the Greek organization) and verification attached. Forms must be submitted to the Office of Student Life within 30 days of each project/event. Forms submitted after 30 days of each project/event are null and void. Eligible dates for the 2014-2015 AY are April 4, 2014-April 6, 2015. The last available submission date will be April 6, 2015. Award recipients will be announced at the annual All Greek Step Show.

From the applications received, five Outstanding Greek Men and five Outstanding Greek Women will be selected. There is no limit placed on the number of members from each chapter that may apply.
