Grand Rapids, MI (February 4, 2014) – Six seniors from Forest Hills high schools have been selected by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association to the 2013 Gladiator by SGI / NFHCA High School National Academic Squad.
The winners are:
Megan Brownley – Forest Hills Northern

Gabriella Coty – Forest Hills Northern

Madison Francis – Forest Hills Central

Anna Morris – Forest Hills Northern

Emily Schafer – Forest Hills Northern

Megan Uekert – Forest Hills Central

The High School National Academic Squad program recognizes those high school seniors who have achieved a cumulative, unweighted GPA of 3.5 out of 4.0 or the equivalent through the first quarter of the 2012-13 school year.
Additionally, Morris, Schafer, and Uekert were named “Scholars of Distinction,” a new level of recognition for those seniors with a GPA of at least 3.9 out of 4.0.
These six seniors matched their classroom success with winning on the field, taking Forest Hills all the way to the Division II state championship game in 2013.
