Clementine Mary (Piechorowska) Williams, 81 of 1609 Riverside Drive died about 1 p.p. Wednesday at the St Joseph Medical Center. Mrs Williams was born June 18, 1908 in South Bend Indiana the daughter of William and Stanislawa (Hosinski) Piechorowski, and was a life long area resident. On July 23, 1929 in South Bend as Clemintine M. Piechorowska she marries Charles A Williams. He died August 5, 1973. She is survived by three daughters, Rosemary Toepp of South Bend, Carol Trusk of Mercer Island, Wa. and Susan Taylor of Crafton, MD. two sons Robert J and John M , both of South Bend. 20 grandchildren, 16 Great Grandchildren; and two sisters Ann McMinn and Dorothy Hambidge, both of South Bend . She was a member of Altar Rosary Society, Circle of Mercy, the Progress Club and Resurrection Singers of Holy Cross Church, and she was a Eucharistic minister.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Holy Cross Church. Entombent will be at Riverview Mausoleum. Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 Friday at the Hickey Funeral Home, where the Circle of Mercy and Altar Rosary Society will say a rosary. Contributions may be made to these Societies.

Charles A. Williams, 67, of 921 Lawndale Ave died at 8 a.m. Sunday in St. Josephs Hospitalafter an ilness of three weeks. He retired from UniRoyal Inc Mishawaka where he had been a research chemist for 26 years. He was born August 13, 1905 in Ruby, MT. and lived here 31 years after comming from Oregon. On July 23, 1928 he married Clemintine M. Piechorowski, who survives. Also surving are his father Charles R. of Prineville, Ore. two sons Robert J. of Mishawaka and John M of South Bend; three Daughters Rosemary Toepp of South Bend, Carol Trusk of Mercer Island, Wa. and Susan Taylor of Crafton, MD. 17 grandchildren and two sisters. Mrs Mary Dahler of Pineville and Veronica Madison of Parkdale Ore.
Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Kaniewski & Sons Funeral Home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Cross Church with Rev. William J. Neidhart C.S.C. pastor officiating. The entoumbment will be in Riverview Mausoleum. Williams was a graduate of the University of Notre Dame in 1928 and a member of its Alumni Association. He was a member of the American Chemical Society. He was a member of Council1878, third degree Knights of Columbus and the fourth degree of the Father Nieuland General Assembly of the Knights of Columbus, whose members will recite the rosary at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday. A parish wake will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.

Clarence E. McMinn age 71, of 17752 Darden Rd. died about 428 a.m. Wednesday at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne. Mr. McMinn was a retired shoe Salesman for Robertsons Department Store after 25 years of employment. He was born in Peru, Indiana and had lived in Michiana all his life. On December 25, 1942, in South Bend, Indiana, he married the former Anne Piechorowski who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Barbara Csicsko of Fort Wayne and Dr. Margaret Policastro of Chicago; two sons Paul of South Bend and Robert of Indianapolis; six grandchildren; and four sisters Stella Corbitt and Jenie Drake both of Hendersonville, N.C., LeeNora Gilsinger of Winamac and Clara Jane Reece of Peru. He was a third degree member of the Knights of Columbus Santa Marta Council and Father J.A. Nieuwland Assembly of the Knights of Columbus. He was a veteran of WW II.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Holy Cross Church. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery, where American Legion Pulaski Post 367 will conduct a military service. Friends may call from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 Friday at the Kaniewski Funeral Home, where a wake will be conducted by the Knights of Columbus Santa Marta Council 553 and the parish. The Rev. George Szymanowski officiated Christmas Day at the marriage of Miss Ann Piechorowski, sister of Mrs TC Gorazewski 1016 West Washington and Private First Class Edward C Mc Minn of Fort Blanding, Fla.; son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert McMinn of Peru, Ind. The ceremony too place at 3:00 p.m. in St Hedwig Roman Catholic Church before an altar banked with poinsetta, palms and Cathedral candlelabra. Prof. C F Luzny played the nuptial music in the presense of 200 guests.
The bride who was given in marriage by Dr. T C Gorazewski wore a gown of ivory satinmade along princesslines with a full court train. Her veil was of illusionand fell fingertiplength from a coronet of orange blossoms. She carried a bouquet of white roses, sweatpeas, and orchids. Mrs. Craig Hambidge the matron of honor chose a gown of aqua brocaded taffeta, made with a fitted bodice and full skirt.Her flowers were yellow and brronze chrysanthemums with matching flowers in her hair. Craig E Hambridge was the best man and the ushers were John Hosinski and Matt Sieracki. A reception followed in Dr. and Mrs. Gorazewski's home. A wedding cake centered the table, circled with white bells and small white flowersand tapers. The couple left for a wedding trip to Chicago, after which private McMinn will return to camp.
The out of town guests were Mr. and Mrs. Robert McMinn and Miss Clara Jane McMinn of Peru, Ind; Mrs L C Glisinger of Marion, Ind; the Misses Tes Marie Gorka and Angela Hosinski of Washington DC and Miss Clara Karpinski of Detroit MI.

Craig Ellis Hambidge was born in Feb. 5 1916 in Benton County, Indiana the son of Charles Raymond Hambidge (June 29,1887-Sept.9,1950) and Nellie May Dunwoody(Dec.8,1883-Oct 15,1962).
Craig grew up farming with his family outside Montmorenci, Indiana. After graduating from Purdue in 1938, he went on to work for Oliver Plow in South Bend and then moved to the Bendix Corporation. My parents met at Bendix where my mother was a nurse. The family story... my father saw my mother come into the plant one day and was sure after that he had "something in his eye". So my mother dutifully examined his eyes. The rest is history.
On June 27, 1942 he married the former Dorothea Margaritta Piechorowska the daughter of Wladyslaw (William) and Stanislawa (Hosinski) Piechorowski in St. Hedwig Catholic Church.
Six children were born to this union; William Raymond (January 19, 1944), Mary Helen (June 6,1945), James Craig (November 17, !950), Timothy Joseph, Jane Ann (September 12, 1952 to December 6, 1952), Richard John (January 18, 1957) and Richard John (January 31, 1959). They live happily in retirement in South Bend.

As is obvious by the photo, my parent's wedding day June 27, 1942. They were married at St. Hedwig's . The wedding breakfast was held at the LaSalle hotel I believe. As was the custom in that era an afternoon reception was held at my Aunt Marion and Uncle Ted's home on West Washington St. where this photo was taken.

Rev. James Healey CSC performed the double ring ceremony at 9 am Saturday Morning in the Holy Cross Catholic Church which united Miss Nancy Beth Nyikos and Henry A. Meers in Marriage. The bride is the daughter of Mrs Michael Nyikos 1502 Obrien street and Mrs Victor Meers is the mother of the groom.
Palms, White Gladioli and carnations formed the background fot the ceremony with Miss Betty Kascis serving as organist and James O Hara as vocalist. The pews were marked with White Bows. The Hotel Lasalle was the scene of the wedding breakfast and the church hall was opened to guest from 2 until 5 in the afternoon.
Heavy ivory satin embroidered with seed pearls was used for the bridal gown. Across the skirt was a draped effect which formed a bustle and the dress had long sleves and a full train. The lace hedged vail of illusion fell from a tiara of seed pearls and the bride carried a prayer book.
Miss Patricia Melczek was the maid of honor. the bridesmaids were Mrs George Bousley, Miss Helen Marie Meers.
Frank Meers was his brothers best man and George Sousley and John Lawton were ushers.
The newlyweds will return from Chicago on March 6 to reside at 3325 Graceland St Indianapolis In. The bride is a graduate of St Josephs Academy and her husband graduated from Central High School, attended Notre Dame and is currently attending Butler University in Indianapolis.
