1 Analysis (essay) in which you will prepare a 5 paragraph essay with integrated textual support. You will pre-write/ organize your essay into an outline in class before you take the exam.

Part 8: Independent Reading


ESSAY: You will be required to analyze one of three essay prompts from Ender’s Game. The essay must be a well thought out organized essay with a thesis statement and topic sentences. Do not merely summarize the plot.


  • Manipulation of Ender by adults (justified)

  • Ender as a hero (character traits)

  • Ender’s psychological state revealed by Card through “free play game”
