Columbus Day Debate
Directions: Students will be divided into groups of four. You will be randomly assigned one side of an argument to make in a debate about recognizing Columbus Day. You will face off in a 5 round format with each side presenting 2 - 3 minutes. A winner will be decided in each round by the teacher with input from your classmates. You will have 15 minutes to research and present 2 to 3 arguments for your side, supported by textual evidence..
