Lewis and Clark Comic Strip

Background: A comic strip is a sequence of drawings arranged in boxes to show a story. Each box in a comic strip usually contains pictures, words, and captions that describe what is taking place at that point in the story. Today, you will create your own comic strip that will describe the story of the Lewis and Clark Expedition.
Directions: Using the information that you have learned about the Lewis and Clark Expedition, create a comic strip explaining what the expedition was, the events that took place during it, and its importance to the United States.
Rubric: You will be graded using the rubric below, be sure to include the following in your comic strip:
___/ 2 Identify why the expedition had to take place
___/ 2 Identify the leaders of the expedition and who chose them
___/ 4 Detail some of the events that happened along the journey
___/ 4 Describe at least 2 different ways that Native Americans helped the expedition
___/ 2 Identify why this expedition was important to the United States.
___/ 2 It is evident that time and creativity were put into the creation of the Comic Strip
