The Kansas Audio-Reader Network is a reading and information service for blind, visually impaired and print disabled persons in Kansas and Missouri. Services are offered free of charge to anyone in our listening area who is unable to read normal printed material.

Sunday New York Times, 6:00 AM weekdays, repeated at 2:00AM : Monday is the Magazine section read by Jim O’Malley; Tuesday is Arts & Leisure read by Elaine Kautsch; Wednesday is Book Reviews read by Anne Burgess; Thursday is Travel Section read by Jill LaPoint and Friday is Business section read by Donna Conway

The Morning Magazine Rack, 7:00 AM (M-F): Monday is Business News read by Beverly Wilson, Tuesday is The Christian Science Monitor-Weekly Edition read by Kathe Dougherty; Wednesday is Farming News with Edith Bond; Thursday is Environmental News with Carl Graves and Friday is Consumer Reports with Jim Powers.

Breakfast Table Times every day, 8-10AM. Readings from Kansas City Star and Topeka Capital Journal. Sunday the Breakfast Table Times lasts until 10:50. Readers are: Monday -Thelma Taylor and Mary Howe, Tuesday – Mary Ann Strong and Jan Shumway, Wednesday – Harlan Roedel and Elinor Schroeder, Thursday – Bill Beningfield and Don Frey, Friday – Carl Graves and Elaine Kautsch, Saturday – Stuart Mills and Jim McCauley, Sunday – Steve Smith, Randy Austin, Karen Boyer, Judy Taylor and Carol Beth Whalen.

Tuesday is Mail Order Catalogs hosted by Mary Ann Saunders followed by Discount Store Ads with Mary Jo Hobbs; Wednesday is Senior Concerns (AARP, Senior Center newsletters and other information for senior citizens) read by JoAnne Kready followed by Playing with Words, The Poetry Show hosted by Harlan Roedel; Thursday is At Home on the Range (cooking show) with Shelley Sandberg and Shopper’s Showcase (grocery ads) hosted by Diane Carnell and Friday is TV Guide with Rex Buchanan followed by Alternative Press with Jonathan Haynes.
