Republican policies did help America boom. For instance, the Republicans wanted to keep taxes low. This meant that people had more money to spend themselves, which led to them buying consumer goods like fridges and telephones and even larger things like the Ford Model T. This meant that the businesses that made these goods also made lots of money, and employed lots of people who also were able to spend their wages. This was called the cycle of prosperity. Tariffs also helped America to boom. Tariffs were taxes on things being imported into America. These taxes made American goods cheaper to buy than imported goods. This meant that people in American bought things from American businesses.
